SPECTATOR INFORMATION
Please be advised that handguns and other weapons are prohibited on AISD property and at Cap City Marching Festival.
Getting to Burger Center
The address of Burger Center is 3200 Jones Road, Austin 78745. If you are using GPS, be aware that there are other Jones Roads in Central Texas.
From IH-35, travel west on US-290/TX-71 (from the north or south, flyovers connect IH-35 and US 290/71). When US-290/71 splits, stay left toward Johnson City, then take the Brodie Lane exit. Make the U-turn at Brodie Lane and come back to the stadium on your right.
Parking
Buses and pit equipment trucks park on the US-290 side of the stadium. Spectators park on the opposite (press box) side of the stadium in the lot adjacent to Jones Road. Other than the temporary tailgate area, no cars will be allowed into this parking lot as the bus/trailer parking ends up very full by the time all bands have arrived. Signage along the US-290 access road will direct spectators and bands to the correct parking area. Spectators enter the stadium through the ticket booths on the press box side. See attached diagram of Burger Center for additional information.
Schedule
The full schedule of bands can be found here. The schedule for finals will be announced at the end of Prelims Awards. The top 10 scores regardless of classification will advance to finals; of these ten bands, the bottom 5 scores will perform first, in a randomly assigned order, followed by the top 5 scores, in a randomly assigned order. Scores for finals placement is based ONLY on the combined Music and Ensemble Visual scores.
Admission
Gate admission will be $15 for adults and $10 for seniors (65+), military with ID, students, AISD faculty/staff, middle school band parents, and children over five. Children under five will be admitted free of charge. Any person without a wristband or student not dressed in an official band shirt or uniform will be asked to purchase an admission wristband. Wristbands are required for exit and re-entry. Wristbands may be purchased in advance online or at the ticket counter on the day of.
Band Directors will receive three complimentary wristbands per bus upon arrival at the Burger Center. Band volunteers will need to use one of the complimentary wristbands or purchase additional ones to go into any stadium gates unless they are actively moving equipment. However, volunteers will need to park in the spectator parking as the bus/trailer parking ends up very full by the time all bands have arrived. The attached parking map shows how volunteers can walk around the gym to access the bus parking and truck parking areas.
Concessions
The concessions stand will have pizza and chicken fingers available in addition to snacks and drinks on both sides of the stadium. Cash and credit cards will be accepted at the concession windows. In addition, there are many restaurants nearby and the festival wristbands let your groups leave and come back as needed.

We will be selling t-shirts, patches, water bottles, and caps at the souvenir booth.
In addition, we are having a raffle with many exciting prizes, including tickets to an Astros game, ACT/SAT prep, passes to Urban Air, Kendra Scott Jewelry, passes to Cidercade, and many more.
