The Liberal Arts and Science Academy High School has hosted the Capital City Marching Festival since 1993. The CapCity philosophy is that all high school bands deserve support and opportunities to showcase their talent. LASA is pleased to host this event and to welcome the best marching bands in Texas!
We celebrate the outstanding effort and commitment put forth by thousands of students, directors, and families to create the beautiful music and impressive shows that enjoy at each year’s event.
As we come together to share our programs, we also celebrate the camaraderie and enthusiasm demonstrated by marching band members. We hope that you will carry your memories of marching band and your experiences at CapCity throughout your music education journey.
About Your Host
The Liberal Arts and Science Academy (LASA) is a magnet high school in Austin that is ranked as one of the best high schools in the nation. The LASA Raptor Band Boosters is a parent-led volunteer organization that serves as the financial arm of the band and colorguard. It also provides program support to band leadership and student members, and the Boosters strives to make the program strong so that students can grow as musicians, community members, and friends. The LASA Raptor Band Boosters have been granted not-for-profit status under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Service code.
