About

The Liberal Arts and Sciences Academy (LASA) High School Raptor Band Boosters is a parent-led volunteer organization that serves as the financial arm of the band and colorguard. It also provides program support to band leadership and student members, and the Boosters strives to make the program strong so that students can grow as musicians, community members, and friends. The LASA Raptor Band Boosters have been granted not-for-profit status under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Service code.

Activities

The LASA Raptor Band Boosters is responsible for organizing band events, preparing meals, loading buses, hauling equipmentchaperoning, and performing any/all other tasks as needed to support the band and colorguard programsImportantlyBoosters organizes and coordinates the band’s largest fundraiser – the Capital City Marching Festival. In its 29th year, this statewide event is cohosted with the Austin LBJ Jaguar Band Boosters and features twenty high school bands from across Texas competing for top band and colorguard honors. The event is held at Toney Burger Stadium in The Live Music Capital of the World before over 5,000 attendees.  
 
Our Membership Drive will take place during Everything Day, during Summer Band Camp at the end of summer. Booster meetings are held at 6:30 PM on the last Monday of each month and are open to all those interested in supporting the band programs.
