Adjudicators and Scoring
Cap City strives to provide the best judging experts in the marching band field. There will be four judges, one each assigned to Music, Percussion Ensemble, Visual Ensemble, and Color Guard. The 100-point system begins at zero and the entire band, including color guard and percussion section, is awarded points for proficiency and technical ability in two areas: music and visual effects. Within these two elements of each program, the qualities of technique, execution, performance, and effectiveness are evaluated. Each band is considered on its own merit for style, theme, and approach.
